Action based research

While doing Ph.D., my research got deeply connected to the tribal women and smallholders. This led to the formation of “Mobile Library Shiksha Swaraj”, a research extension under Live Life Happily, a non-governmental organization in the sub-Himalayan North Bengal, India, directed by Poulomi C. Nandi. Over 9,000 tribal beneficiaries and 500 self-help groups (SHGs) are connected now. We focus on improved education, increment in SHGs’ skills, better agriculture, higher income, and improved welfare services to marginalized communities. The research works made headlines in the prominent national & international media.
